Super Bowl Commercials

Needless to say, Super Bowl XlV was a little disappointing.  The game was boring, the halftime show was terrible, Christina Aguilera screwed up the National Anthem, and the commercials were pretty lackluster.  On the other hand, I spent the evening with good friends and enjoyed delicious food.  I posted on Friday the recipes I would be making for the game and you must try the Zannie's Black Eyed Pea dip. FANTABULOUS. Oh, and add cilantro, you won't regret it. I promise.

Anyways, I wanted to share the few commercials that made me laugh.  I thought there was way too many movie and tv show commercials but whatev they didn't ask me for my opinion.  Here they go:

The Doritos commercial with the guy house sitting.

Budweiser's take on "Tiny Dancer"

Audi's escaping the confines of Old Luxury

There might have been a few more that made me chuckle, but those are the ones that stood out & I can actually remember.  I also really liked the commercial that showed clips from sticoms through the decades and they were all football-related. Directv maybe?  It was a good one.

What were some of your favorite ads?

  1. Dangit! I made the black eyed pea dip and didn't even think to add the cilantro! It was really good but next time I will use less onion and cook them before adding to the dip. I bet rotel instead of salsa would be fantastic!
