I mentioned in my first post that I do not like the emo look. I just don't understand it. I have included pictures below for those of you that are out of the loop. Where did this new style come from? Does it have some sort of meaning? Is it the new Goth look? Please enlighten me.

28 Days of Prayer
So I know its a little late, like 12 days late, but our church is doing 28 Days of Prayer this month and I thought I would share with you. We have been doing it since Day 1 and it has just been amazing how the scripture has fit into our lives.
Day 12: Read Psalms 61:1-4. Pray for those looking for answers.

MY TURN! MY TURN!
If you've read my husband's introduction, you're probably wondering what kind of woman could end up with someone who is so, um, interesting.
Well, that would be me, the woman who isn't afraid to speak her mind, gets addicted to TV shows by watching them on DVDs, has a newfound love for coffee, will absolutely fight someone who is smoking cigarettes, sometimes drinks a little too much, would walk 1,000 miles to save one dog's life and loves her family more than anything in the world.
My husband and I share a love for food and sports, which I believe is pretty rare for couples. I honestly enjoy cold beer, hot wings and a good baseball game from time to time. Plus, I'm not the tom-boy, crush a man with my muscles, kind of girl, so that's extra unique.
My dislikes/hates: cold weather, Barack Obama, cats, the "emo" look, olives, the smell that gets stuck on your clothes at Subway and Japanese hibachi steakhouses, people who drive slow in the fast lane, bugs, LSU and Pepsi products.
It's not easy to sum yourself up in 50 words, 100 words, even 10,000, so I'm not going to try. If you follow the blog long enough, you'll learn more about me, my hubby and the crazy things that we get into.
Stay tuned.
And so it begins...
My better half and I have been racking our brains trying to decide how to start this blog. What will we talk about? What will we name it? Should it be funny? Serious? Piss people off? Or a place to share decorating tips and recipes?
Okay, the answer to the last question is definitely no...at least for me.
Then it dawned on us. How about a simple introduction?
Here's roughly 50 random words about Mr. Goober:
Grew up in Georgia; absurdly good-looking; Christian; nearly always sarcastic or playing the devil's advocate; smelly feet; loves dogs, family, sports and food; never turns down a free drink; really lucky to be married to a beautiful Mississippi woman; grew up in the suburbs but not looking to return just yet; COCA-COLA AND CHIK-FIL-A.
BOOSH.
One hobby I really enjoy is watching movies. Once I turn them on, I absolutely cannot go to sleep until I see the end, even if I have seen it before. I mean, how can you turn off the Goonies before Sloth and Chunk save the day? Or go into a deep slumber while Harold and Kumar are almost to White Castle? Or ease into your dreams while Ritchie Valens hasn't discovered the mariachi music of Juarez spawning the all-time great hit "La Bamba?"
We really just want an outlet for expressing ourselves and hopefully bring a smile or two to your face. We'll talk about the horrible things when they happen just so we're not making ourselves out to be some kind of Disney movie like Cinderella, Snow White or Dawn of the Dead(maybe not Disney?).
Hope y'all enjoy.
